ABOUT DAVID

I’m David Rackstraw, the photographer behind DPR Photography. I photograph weddings across Newcastle, Durham and Northumberland, as well as Yorkshire, the Lake District and destination weddings.

My approach is relaxed and documentary. I give you space to enjoy the day, following the moments as they happen rather than asking you to repeat them. For group photographs and couple portraits, I offer clear, gentle direction so you can relax and get back to your guests.

Alongside photography, I work as a firefighter. Staying calm, adapting quickly and looking after people are a big part of both roles. I bring that steady approach to weddings, from the preparations to the evening celebrations.
